It is PADI’s most popular specialty course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you:
- Enriched air nitrox increases your allowable no stop dive time by reducing the amount of nitrogen you breathe underwater. It does this by replacing some of the nitrogen with oxygen. Since you breathe less nitrogen, you have longer no decompression limits.
- The increased no stop time can be substantial, especially when making repetitive dives.
- Your enriched air dive computer combines the advantages of enriched air diving with multilevel diving, giving you the maximum no stop time possible. It also simplifies planning and executing the dive.
You can typically stay down longer and get back in the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.
Over the last decade, hundreds of thousands of dives have illustrated that enriched air has an impressive safety record when divers follow proper procedures.
This is primarily a dry classroom based course but can be combined with other courses
